I've been lurking on the forum for about a year on and off but seeing as I have myself a problem I thought I might as well register and but my query up here.
Anyway, recently my brother sent me a burnt copy of Manhunt 2 for the PS2. You see, I got myself swapmagic 3.6 just for this game but I was disappointed as it didn't work. But I know why it didn't work, both my brother and I have no idea how to burn a PS2. I've seen plenty of guides online but it always mention the user having an ISO. I don't have an ISO. When my brother downloaded the game he simply unzipped the files and burnt them to a DVD-R. Below is a screenshot.
I am guessing you have made the classic mistake off unpacking the iso
which means you probably unpacked it twice
open winrar, and check whether you have winrar associated with iso
options/settings/intergration-untick the iso tab,and click ok
then go back to the original rar files, and extract it again
start from rar 00,right click, and select "extract here"
if you havent got those rar files anymore, you need to make an image from those game files you have there, and hope it works
for this use imageburn
mode/build
on the right hand side - options/file system/iso 9660 + udf
drop all the files into the box on the left hand side, then click build image
burn the resulting iso
My brother has the files and he could send them down my way. But in an attempt to save him sending it in the post I'll try the second solution you posted. I actually have a program that compiles files into an ISO. It's called cdgenPS2. I assume that's the kind of program you're talking about?.
Also, I hear a lot of talk about certain burners being better than others and it's quite confusing. Is imageburn highly recommended?.
Thanks for your time!. :)
(Edit)
One more question. Would it be better to get that ISO using cdgenPS2 or by using imageburn to rip the ISO of my current DVD containing the files that were too far extracted?. The ISO ripped from the cd is 2.43 gb while the complied version is 2.40gb. :/
Dont really make any difference, you just need the files so you can make a proper iso using the correct setting (udf/iso)
cant even guarantee it will work, you may need he proper file order
someone here wil have it,i'm sure.
imageburn is fine to use for both compiling and burning with
Hold on! What DVD-R Media did you use?! Someone please tell me the media they used cause whatever I use fails. I haven't tried Tayo Yuden yet. That's the only one I haven't done yet. What do you guys suggest?
