im looking into buying a ps3 (40GB in australia) but i have some questions regarding the console...any help is appreciated!! thanx

-ive seen on ebay how ps3 games are "worldwide compatible" i.e ntsc and pal. can i buy a game from lets say the u.s and still play the game on my pal ps3?

-can i surf the net on my ps3 if i have a proper internet connection?

-does it play normal dvds?

-the new 40gb only has 2 usb ports and no compact flash drives. does it still have a hdmi output?

You do realize that these questions are answered over and over again. For the most part all PS3 games will work on any region PS3. Yes there is a web browser, and it works fine for surfing the net. It will play normal DVDs, and upscale them. It does still have HDMI.
