I currently use DVD shrink/ dvd decryptor on my windows machine and was wondering what was out there for the macs as I am looking at buying a macbook pro.

Hello, TrxR:

MacTheRipper will rip DVDs to your harddrive. DVD2OneX will compress a VIDEO_TS folder to fit on a single layer disc. Toast will burn your VIDEO_TS folder to DVD. Some posters report that they use Toast to compress and burn.
