Problem Getting PS1 games on PSP!

Hey I'm pretty familiar with the PSP but I had alot of my old PS1 games lying around to I thought I might have a crack at something new with the PSP and try and but a PS1 game on it.

Now that video is the 1st of I think three but its one of the most helpful guides on youtube that I have found yet i followed everything he did exactly and you know put on the same fw version as him (3.03 oe-c, which has always been my favorite) and loaded up Formula 1 97 (not one of my favortie games but it was just a test game) and put it in the same folders and all i'm pretty sure and went on my PSP and selected the game and all it showed was the waves in my backs and the backgrounds itself and it stays like that so I end up having to switch on and off my PSP so now I'm left quite depressed about not getting my game on the PSP (i'm not a hardcore emo so don't worry about suicide lol)
But anyway I would like to know
1. what i'm doing wrong
2. how to fix the problem
Your help would be appreciated
