I bought a modded 360 in China, and it is a Taiwanese version. Everything was fine for half a year, as I just bought copied games here in China. But I just went back to the states and while I was there, I bought an official copy of NCAA 08 Football. I was suprised when the game was rejected by my 360 for being in a wrong region. I assumed that when they modded the 360, they would also mod it to be multi-region for offical copies.

If I take it back, do you think they will be able to take off the region lock? I want to know in advance, because it is a long trip from where I am.

currently by firmware method there is no way to remove a region lock, the only thing i can suggest is to get that game for your region
the store will not be able to remove it
