I've been reading around all night about how to go about doing this, as I'm new to the PSP modding scene.
Just bought a slim PSP, which comes with firmware v3.60.
These are my questions:
Do I NEED a Pandora's Battery to do this?
Is it possible to mod a slim without having someone else who has a modded one already?
As far as I can tell, it seems that I just need to install Pandora on the memory stick and load custom firmware.
If anyone can point me towards topics specifically about this, or IRC channels or anything to help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Recape - I'm just basically trying to mod the 3.6 without the use of an already modded PSP - just me and my computer.

Yes, or the universal unbricker

You need a phat PSP running cfw or 1.50

Correct, this must be done on a phat PSP running cfw or 1.50

See stickys on Pandoras battery and universal unbricker

It is possible to get M33 custom firmware on a PSP Slim v3.60 without the physical use of any other PSP. You will need a program called TOTALNewbi easy installer (google it) and an extra battery. The extra battery is the complicated part of this process for you, as you are going to have to spend money to accomplish this task.
Your battery options are,
1) Buy a genuine PSP battery and hardmod it (not recommended if you don't have an electronics degree)
2) Buy a Pandora's battery off ebay, etc.
3) Buy the Datel Tool Battery.
So yes it is possible to mod your 3.6 all alone with your computer but your going to have to use that computer to buy a battery to put you in service mode.
PSP Slim 3.60 + Hardmod Battery = 3.71 M33-2
