Is it possible to update the WII firmware via DVD, and not via Internet?
If yes, how?
(I do not have wireless at home and right now, my wii is semi-bricked because of the Metroid Prime 3 update - my fault of course)

Note that I have PAL Wii and of course, Metroid Prime 3 was NTSC USA.
(Will there be a Metroid Prime 3 PAL? That could be an option to upgrade to a PAL firmware version).

Not for the latest firmare no.
Wait till november 11 when SMG comes out. This game is sure to have the update as it has taken the wii's graphical capabilities to the max.

SMG, being Super Mario Galaxy?
And is there any PAL game with at least the same firmware version as Metroid Prime 3?

metroid does not update the firmware it just installs some stuff that is necessary to properly play the game

The game installs the update. not just some files needed to play the game.
look for a nintendo game coming out soon if you have a PAL wiikey, that will use the update. Just check on the net from time to time.
