hello everyone.

just to start, i have no idea at all how to interpret these guides and instructions, but i would love to learn how to mod my psp, but i'm afraid that i would need to learn in the most elementary way possible. thanks in advance.

i have a slim psp, software version 3.60.

i read a bunch of the guides, but i'm already pretty lost at where to start, and what to do.

what would i need to do/use to mod this psp enough to downgrade it to play homebrew etc...?

thanks again.

Dell Desktop:2GHZ P4/256MB RAM/NEC 3500a/LiteOn DVD-ROM
Dell Laptop:1300MHZ Duron/256MB RAM/DVD+R 8x(R),2x(W)

Presently using Shrink 3.2.0.15 to rip and compress, and Decrypter 3.5.2.0 to burn. I use sony YUDEN000T02 dvd+r, and ritek g04 + and - media

you won't be able to do anything to your slim psp. you WILL NEED a fat psp that has custom firmware on it.

there are other methods that do not require another psp, but they are costly and/or will be very hard to do.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Go HERE and use this method it will install 3.71 M33-2 to your Slim which is the most up to date custom firmware (Plus it has video driver support for the PSP SLIM so you don't have to do a Blind install like you do when installing 3.60 M33 custom firmware).

the "blind" install is not a big deal. All you do is press "X" one time and it is done, only takes like 5 seconds and its all ready to go.

But it will all depend on what firmware you want on it (I just stay with 3.60 M33 because I see no reason to go to 3.71 ??? (I don't know what they are off the top of my head)

Phat PSP #1 - 3.40 OE-A
Phat PSP #2 - 3.40 OE-A
Slim PSP - 3.60 M33
PS3 - 1.93 With Kubuntu 7.04
