You can leave the files on the memory stick and still use it as normal if you want to keep it as a Pandora Memory stick, if you're not bothered, then format the stick using the function on your PSP and use as normal.
As for the battery, if you use a different battery then your PSP will boot normally, if you want to use the Pandora Battery as your regular battery then you can convert it back to normal, or get the "Normal Boot" mod for the Pandora. To convert your Pandora Battery to normal, boot up your PSP with a charger and then place the Pandora Battery in the PSP. After it has loaded, run the Battery Making App and press L + R to write back the original eeprom from the memory card so you can use it like normal again.
If you don't have the original eeprom then i wouldn't suggest you "normalise" the battery, keep it as a Pandora and use another battery.

Yes and yes. You'll need to use a "Fat" battery for the Pandora though.

You mean if it's already a normal Pandora? To convert it for use with a Slim, you change the files on the memory card only, you don't have to do anything with the battery. If you use the Universal Unbricker then it works with Fat and Slim PSP straight off, if you already have the battery converted, then you only have to do the memory card conversion.

thnx Shokz
i created pandora batt/ms.
good to hear that i would have just change the ms to do slims.
could you confirm another thing for me please..
if the ms is converted for slims, it will not downgrade anymore to
1.5. it will just add cfw 3.71m33-2 to both fat & slims.
true?
and if u have a link for the modification i would greatly
appreciate it.

To be totally honest i'm not too sure on that :/
The modified Pandora installs 3.60 M33 onto Slims, i guess it would do the same with Fats but i don't actually know...
If you convert it to a Universal Unbricker (Despertar del Cementerio) then i know it installs 3.71 M33-2 onto both Slims and Fats. You can download the files for the Universal Unbricker here.

i will definitely chk it out Shokz..
my only problem would be losing the 1.5 capabilities on the fat.
so i might hold off on modifying my pandora to Universal Unbricker.

3.71 M33-2 still has all the capabilies of 1.50, the only difference is that on the Slim it can't install the 1.50 kernel, meaning that not all homebrew runs on it. Fat PSPs are unaffected.

that answers that.
how can i not do it now.
so just to be a 100% certain.
if the fats are unaffected.
it would be no different(for fats) than using the regular pandora.
except for the fact its upgrading to 3.71m33-2?
