My psp has 2.71 and i would like to be able to play my Playstations games on it. I understand that i need 3.03 or higher to do that, so do i need to downgrade to 1.50 first or can i go straight to 3.03 and/or 3.52, which is what i would ultimately like to end up with.

im not sure. probably not. i never updated it. i bought it off a friend and he doesnt know shit about psp's. But im going to say no its not custom, unless 2.71 TA-082 is custom. that is exactly which firmware i have.

you are going to have to downgrade to 1.5 then to 3.52

Should i go 2.71 to 2.8 then to 1.5 and back up to 3.52 like many people have told me to do or is it easier to go straight down to 1.5 and then up to 3.52?

do u mean get the backup flash files ? That would be easy but in case the files are incorrect. That is the reason I bricked my psp.
