Hey, I've had some trouble finding a cheap 256MB memory stick pro duo here in Canada (even though our dollar is stronger than the U.S dollar). Anyways, I found a 512 MB Micro that comes with a Memory Stick Pro Duo adaptor and it only costs about $16.00. While the cheapest 256 MB Memory Stick Pro Duo is in the Sony Store and it's $39.99! So is this possible?

My PSP Firmware History: 2.60 had to return the PSP because it had a dead pixel > new PSP had firmware 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.52 M33 > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.71 M33 > 3.71 M33 with 1.50 kernel

not sure if you can use it, because the psp might not detect it as a pro duo. but no one else has tried it. you might be the first one to try it.

geez, $40 for a 256mb. i'm assuming that's in CDN. you can find a 256 over here in the U.S. for $25 USD or lower.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Yeah it sucks for us Canadians eh? We have a stronger dollar than the U.S Dollar but damn retailers are still charging things as if our dollar is still worth 80 cents U.S. This really sucks. Since our dollar is stronger than the U.S dollar, things should be cheaper over here but no, these damn retailers rip us off by never matching retail prices to the strong dollar. Oh well. Back on topic now. I don't think I'll try using the Micro because it might not work. And the readme specifically says Memory Stick Pro Duo only.

That's just how life is, and how currancy works, the stronger it is, the more expensive it is, feel sorry for us brits :( For some things a strong £ is a good thing, for actually buying things, everything is more expensive than your side of the pond... example: PS3s are £425 = $850~ not good!

Then again, even over here you can find 256MB Pro Duos for about £12.99 or less.

PSP, all the way from 1.00 to 5.50 GEN D2 - DS Lite w/ M3DS Real (M3 Sakura v1.34)
PS3 3.01 - iPod Touch 2G 16GB Jailbroken - Xbox 360 60GB - PC, Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GTX260 (216) 896MB

My sister went to Europe last year. She said that everything was extremely expensive.

It is :( another thing i'm annoyed about is games, over here new games are at least £30 ($60), ones for X360 and PS3 are anything from £35 ($70) and £45 ($90), sometimes even more if you go to the wrong shops :P

Well games over here newly released games are $70.00 like Ratchet & Clank Future : Tools of Destruction for example. But then again the prices aren't matched with the strong dollar. Oh well. What can you do? I guess I'll have to pay $30.00 for a 256 Memory Stick Pro Duo. But it seems like such a waste of money! Damn it Costco! You let me down. They don't have any 256 MB Memory Stick Pro Duos just 4 GB sticks for $75.00. Which is pretty cheap for 4 GB here in Canada by the way.

Yea, i heard that there was a "jump" in prices with new generation games, they're reflecting prices in europe ^.^

As with the memory cards, what about 128MB cards? They work, even though it doesn't say you can, i do.

anything that's 128 or higher is pro duo.

$70 for a 4gig is cheap. i think that's the same price i got mine for, in USD.

geez, $90 for a ps3/x360 game. way overpriced. U.S. prices are:

ps2: $40-50 new, $20 new greatest hits
psp: $30-40 new, $20 new greatest hits
ps3: $60-70 new
x360: $50-60 new
wii: $30-50 new

all used prices fluxuate. will vary overtime.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd

There are 128 MB Memory Stick Pro Duos? Damn. That guy from psp-hacks forums is a liar! Anyways, now I have to go get a 128 MB memory stick pro duo....if I can find one at a good price.

there are 128mb pro duos, but most are used. it's very rare to find some, too.

Thanks but I'm not interested in buying online unless I absolutely have to. But if I keep searching I should be able to find a small memory stick pro duo to use to create a magic memory stick.
