I couldn't get Planet Terror to back up.

I'm using DVD Shrink, which worked just fine. After shrinking it switches over to DVD Decrypter and the process starts just fine. About halfway through it simply quits as if it completeded the process, but only half the movie is on there.

Suggestions?

A couple. Realize that Shrink is a good program, but is not updated anymore. You will need to use a program that is regularly updated to keep up with newer encryptions. Try these:

(1) DVDFab Decrypter, which is a free and updated program that will rip the movie to your HDD. Afterwards, use Shrink as usual to burn to DVDs. Find it here: http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm

(2) AnyDVD, which is not free but a good program to use with Shrink. It runs in the background and removes encryption from discs. Find it here: http://www.slysoft.com

Try a couple of these. This title should be no problem for either program.

Thanks, i'll give one - or both - of those a shot and let you know how it fares.

Thanks again!

Well, if Shrink turns over to Decrypter, that means ripping is not a problem. If "halfway through," after Shrink ran, Decrypter is crapping out, there could be other problems.

Unless I'm missing something here, just confirm that you're ripping/shrinking the DVD with Shrink. You're then using Decrypter to burn?

DVDFab and AnyDVD, among other things, are rippers.

Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie

I still use the Original DVDshrink and haven't had any problems with it.
