I searched all over and couldn't seem to find any answer. Does anyone know how long it takes to do the upgrade to 3.71 M33? I'm asumming that it takes a while conisdering 78% of the battery is drained.

thanks,

78% of the battery isn't drained when doing the update. That's just a precaution they have implanted in the update to make sure the Battery is charged.

The time will depend on what firmware you have installed at this time.

So what firmware/custom firmware are you running at this time?

Go HERE and follow the guide.

Or you could try using the Universal unbricker/Upgrader linked HERE to go straight to 3.71 M33-2.

Thankfully nothing is bricked. I'm leaving work right now, so I'll have to try this later .

Okay, never mind. Upon reboot after the failed FW update the PSP is completely Bricked. Only the little Green power LED shows.. nothing else. O well live and learn...

The only thing i noticed in that was odd during the update was it asked me to automatically correct key files or restart by pressing R. Obviously I pressed X to continue. Would this have anything to do with the failed attempt?

thanks,
