Ive tried WMP11, and that just streams all my playable (when transfered by data dvd's etc...) MP4 stuff as mpeg-2 (and the playable files won't play), and tversity streams them in a playable format but the quality is awefull. Is there a way to change these programs (if not are there any other programs) where I can just access my files without the crappy on-the-fly streaming that WMP11 and TVerstty are doing?

try using FFDshow; it helps with WMP

Firstly, thanks for the help. However I don't want any encoding done on my files, just access to my files in their original state through a media server, is this possible?
