Problems using DVC90 with pinnacle studio 11 ultimate

I cant seem to get the dazzle to show any sort of preview in the capture box of pinnacle studio 11 ultimate. first it said it could not find a signal. so i hooked it up through a VCR, and know, even though it says nothing when i choose it as a capture source. i still get nothing. this is the setup. my xbox 360 and cable box go into the vcr. the vcr then goes out to the TV, and to the computer through the dvc90. the cables are all good, ive checked them. and i get cable from the cable box through the vcr, so i know that the vcr isnt the problem. pinnacle shows that the dvc90 is compatible with studio 11 ultimate. So, can anyone tell me whats going on, and how i can fix the problem?
