NTSC backups on PAL system- no colour?

I've got some iso's which are in the NTSC (USA) format. Will they run on my PAL ps2 using swap magic? If I try and run games at 60hz I don't get any colour. I assume I need to patch my iso's before burning them. I have d/l'ed a program called ps2_ntsc2pal_yfix_source which i hope will fix the issue. Any guides or advice?
Also, will this work for any NTSC game, or do certain games need a specific patch? Is there a list of what games need a patch and are the patches supplied? Here is a list of games which have been converted so far:

You need an rgb/scart cable for your tv, in order to view NTSC games in color.

I use the scart adaptor supplied with my PS2 to plug into the scart socket on my TV. I've read that a scart adaptor with all the pins will give a colour signal. So the video option with swap magic will not make any difference?

Well the "force PAL" option in swap magic works, but the picture is reduced to half the screen, and there is a problem when in-game movies play. So I ordered a NTSC to PAL converter for £6 which will give me full screen, full colour NTSC games on my PAL TV!
