What happened was when I got my original PS2 cover off I realized that the reset/eject buttons were melded into the original cover. Hence I can't completely replace the original cover with the Flip-Top and I'm afraid the ribbon might get cut if I overlap the Flip-Top lid underneath the original.

What should I do? Is there absolutely any way to get the reset/eject button off without damaging the ribbon? I tried pushing it off but it won't budge hardly at all.

Please help. Thanks.
