XBOX360 SS Merger/ Patching Question

I'm not sure why, but I'm experiencing a strange problem when trying to patch a 360 game. I've followed the initial loading instructions, but when it comes to splitting the iso nothing really happens - when I try to create the ssbin and gamebin files, incredibly small files are merely created in 1 second (not the usually split that supposed to take minutes, and less than 1 meg).

Just out of interest; is this the only way to determine whether a game like (say) Half Life 2: The Orange Box (CCCLX) [Region Free/FPS/2007 has been patched? Is it usual for torrents to be released unpatched these days, and if so, is there a database we can consult to determine the status of particular torrents?

no good release group, like the one you mentioned, would make a game that is not stealth these days. And the easiest way to test it is DVDmulleter. Which you load the ISO file, click a button and it will tell you. I think it can also patch them as well. If you are on a site that allows for messages then ask if you are not sure about the file your getting. Or find a more reliable site to use that has good releases. I would guess that these days 95% of the games on any good site are stealth.
