PSP Slim and Emulators.. Rom Help!!

ok here is the sitcho,

iv just purchased my new psp slim and i have put custom firmware 3.71 M33-2.. and i have tryed a few emulators including the 'snes9xTYL-0.4.2me_fw3x' and the '9618_dgen_psp_170' it is said on the site that both of these are to use on the psp slim.. Which they do.. however when i put roms in the roms folder i get issues.. eg.

for 'snes9xTYL-0.4.2me_fw3x': i cannot see the rom at all.. the rom im using is "Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World.smc"..

and

for '9618_dgen_psp_170': i can see the rom but when i click on it, it says 'loading' then it dissapears and does nothing.. the rom im using is 'Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (US).smd'

i have also tryed putting these emulators in all the GAME files..

I didnt think emulators worked on the slim because it does not have the 1.50 kernel

i thought thats y u get custom firmware so u could play games that need 1.5..

Well, sort of, you get custom firmware to run unsigned code, flash access, "backup" games.

Part of which is homebrew, like emulators. However the Slim doesn't have the 1.50 kernel, so it can't run homebrew based off the 1.50 kernel.

ahh i get it now.. iv been looking around and i found this

just says that the kernel addon is comming soon.. when this comes out will it fix my problem?? and dose anyone know when it is goin to come out??

thanks for your reply shokz.. i was starting to think it was impossible to put mario on my psp.. which would be really bleep cauz thats half the reason i wanted it..

Well, there are some slight problems with that at the moment, see, the guy that created both the OE and M33 custom firmwares has decided to stop making them now, which, as you may guess, is quite a major problem for us. He's also the one that may or may not release the 1.50 kernel addon for the Slim, it should happen, but it might not.

Even if there never is one, there are already quite a few developers changing their code so it doesn't use the 1.50 kernel, thus being able to play on the Slim, hopefully the emulators will be the same.

bleep well im hopeing it comes out or they make emulators that dont need the 1.5 kernel.. is there a site that i can keep cheacking for the status?? or can somone please make a topic when it dose come out.. cauz im dying to get it..

it's all about 1.5 kernel and unsigned code!
that's why i will never sell my phat psp for slim.

There is homebrew programmed for 3.xx firmware, which will run on a slim, including an SNES emulator.

ahh bleep.. the one i really want is the snes emulator but thanks for your reply.. im still waiting for the 1.5 kernal for psp slims or emulators and roms that dont need them..

its killing me cauz thats mostly the reson i got a psp.. bleep
