My dad has a 'compaks' dvd recorder and when trying to copy my old family videos from vcr to dvd, whenever the tape has a pause in it, the disc 'closes' and makes a new chapter. This is fine but when I put the disc into my PC to make a cop it will only copy/play the very first chapter and not the rest.

If I buy the Sony RDR-GX120 for myself am I going to have the same problem or will I be alright?
