My burner has never had a problem until this morning.I tried backing up a movie and it wouldn't burn.I used dvd shrink and nero.I later tried again and it said it was burning and when it got done there was nothing on the disc.Thanks for any help.

I have the same drive, never had a problem with it. A couple of questions for you, which firmware are you currently using? KSOB is the latest from Lite-On, but I've been using KC48 available here.

For burning test, try burning a DVD with another burning program such as IMGBurn, available here.
Are you able to burn CD disks? If not then the drive is likely dead, but you could try cleaning the lens with a can of compressed air.
