Hi i'm new to this forum and like every one else here I have run into a predicament. One of my friends has lost a DVD of mine (not that I didn't see that coming) Luckily I ripped the files on to my computer and I planned on making a copy of it later. But no... It seems that everything I try to burn it with won't work. I've used Nero, Dvd Clone, and easy dvd creator. Well with Nero it says that the medium is not a cd-r so it refuses to burn onto a dvd-r. When I tried using Dvd clone it gives me two different errors one is WriteDVD 10 4 which I have no idea what that means I just know it's not a good thing. The other error it gave me I can't but remember i think it was the same thing except it said WriteDVD 11 4 which doesn't help. So in all I was wondering if someone could tell me how to burn my dvd files onto a DVD-r so I can watch it on my dvd player or my ps2?

*The Dvd files I have are .VOB .BUP and .IFO*

Just a thought...using Nero did you select DVD-Video and set your drive to your DVD burner? May be a bad rip also.

Did you compress your files when you put them on your hard drive? You might need to compress them to get them to fit on a blank DVD-R disc. You should read the guides found here at Afterdawn for DVDShrink and Nero. I don't know what version of Nero you are using but somthing is wrong if Nero is trying to burn a CD when you have video files. I would also try and move those video files into a folder you name VIDEO_TS (all capital letters).
Good luck,
Frank

1. Yes I selected video dvd and i placed all the files in VIDEO_TS but left AUDIO_TS empty

2. I have Nero 5.5.8.2 and the files from the dvd are about 4.36 Gigs

I've also tried using Daemon Tools after turning all the files into an .img and then tried copying the two dvd's but there's still no luck

is there anyone else that has had this problem?

well I seem to have found a way around the problem I was having so I decided to post it for anyone in the future. It seems that my dvd burner does not recognize dvd+r's but can read dvd+rw's so I burnt the dvd files onto the rw... I than encountered another problem. it seems one of my lovely family members had tampered with my dvd files and some of the .VOB files of the dvd were messed up so that's why burning a video dvd didn't seem to work. so after a long while of cursing people out I decided to burn the files onto a dvd+rw as data and just created a AUDIO_TS and a VIDEO_TS and through all my files into the video folder then.. TADA it works I have no clue why but it does so I'm glad :-) you guys should be too. well thanks for help
