Im useing a

seagate:

Model:ST3160021A

and im useing XBOXHDM v1.9 to lock it but when i typ lockhd -a it wont lock I looked up my hard drive to see if its lockable it says it is. does any one think know whats wrong?

When you put eeprom.bin into the eeprom folder before making the iso, make sure that it is all lowercase, or else it won't work.

I check every thing its all right when i lock it it says ata security spec

Leave the HDD unplugged.

Start XboxHDM and load it to the first screen. THEN plug in the HDD, allow a minute for it to be recognised, then try again!

I tryed that but it still gives me the error saying this drive dosnt support the ata security spec. But what I don't get I seen other people geting this same drive to work.

Hmm...

Set the jumper to 'Master' and also try burning another XboxHDM.

Did you use the one from my software page?

Yes I downloaded it from your page and I have burnt 3 copies of xboxhdm and none lock the hard drive

It'll be a motherboard issue then, try using another PC!

Ok I tryed my hp pavillion a810n and my dell b180 and my custom put together computer none of them worked that sall said this drive does not support the ATA security spec.

i kind of know how you feel man...only i tried to unlock mine it worked a couple of times i locked it again but then my plans changed......now it won't unlock....so i kind of know how you feel...

Yea Even when on the charts they say it can be locked with XBOXHDM but when I try it doesnt
