This is a question about the nand dump.It says <dangerous!> after the option to restore nand on the Universal Unbricker V3.I take it that it's not recommended?Well, I've altered the MS and I now have a Pandora's Battery.It doesn't note to me in any way that it's dangerous.Does this mean it's safe to restore nand on a Pandora's Battery?Or is it the same level of danger as the Unbricker V3, except it's not noted?Thanks.

the pandora is a logical restore so it skips bad sectors when restoring so they should not matter, however the v3 unbricker is a physical restore so it tries to write to the bad sectors (if you have them) and can then produce a brick... i think :)

someone correct me?

1.52>2.0>1.5>3.40 OE-A>3.71 M33-4
3.60>4.01 M33-2

that makes sence to me, u can look at it as being bad, however you will desperatley need one after you get a 3.71 m33 brick, about 90% of those are bricks that only a nand can restore, i have had to use mine about 4 times and it worked great all the time. its possibly writing dangerous!! there because it is and it is very deangerous to use any ones nand backup but your own.

for anyone interested; the 3.71 bricks cause problems in flash1 and cause it to go corrupt, your psp is unable to format it and the old pandora cannot write system.dreg so basicaly your psp is doodoo unless you want to keep it for playing those old games without firmware requirements. nand backup is the way to go from those 3.71 bricks, appart from that, just use V3 like bu22ard said.

What would happen if I done a backed up a nand dump on 3.52M33-4 but I restored on a bricked 3.71M33?Would it just go to 3.52M33-4 or will it result in a brick?Thanks.

You think? :S

Can anyone give me a 100% positive answer?I don't want to experience the new brick, which is unrecoverable =/.

nand is a .BIN file that can be written to your flash from any point, it takes all the files inside your ram and stores them as a .BIN file so you can restore it when you want.

no it isnt dangerous, unless you are using NAND from another PSP. and yes it works on phat and slim (i think it works on slim) psps.

@tmbm

why, its by far outdated.
