I downloaded a demo for a PSP game today and all i had to do was make a couple files and put it in them..... I looked into emulation for the PSP and i would have to downgrade my PSP from 3.60 to 1.5 which takes some hardware and software changes.

My question is! if i can download a demo off the internet and have it run on my 3.60 why cant an ISO be used the same way?????

Is your 3.60 a SLIM? I didn't think FAT PSP's where released with 3.60 firmware. If it is a SLIM then you can not downgrade a SLIM to 1.50 period. No hardware/software modification is out that will do this.

If you have a FAT PSP then you will need to use a Pandora Battery plus magic memory stick to downgrade to 1.50 firmware.

i have done a lot of research and i know your wrong, and you didnt even answer my question.... and yeah its a slim.

i would have to make a pandora battery by opening the battery and cuting a wire. then do some software business to get a pandora mem stick.

my question is WHY, i DLed the demo and put it right in my stick.

all i hade to do was make a GAMES folder inside the PSP folder and put the game in there....

First off I am not wrong.

You can't downgrade a PSP SLIM to 1.50 firmware. You can only install Custom Firmware to it by using a Pandora Battery plus a Modified magic Memory Stick with 3.60 - 3.71 M33-2 custom firmware on it.

Your awfully mouthy for someone that is asking for help.

The demo is probably digitally signed by Sony to run on the PSP. Unsigned code can not run on official PSP firmware. This is why you can't run the M33 custom firmware installer on official firmware PSP's because it isn't signed by Sony.

You can go HERE and use the easy installer to create this Universal unbricker/Upgrader to add the proper files to the Magic Memory stick which will install 3.71 M33-2 firmware on your PSP without having to run any applications on your SLIM PSP.

But you can not DOWNGRADE a SLIM PSP to 1.50 firmware.

I did'nt mean to offend.

I see now that you are right, and im sorry I disagreed. i was under the impression you had to revert your psp to 1.5 then to a custom firmware.

will there be a program to convert slim batterys to pandoras and back in the near future? is there something about the slims that will prevent this?

or should i fire up the soldering iron?

Some people have had success in converting the slim battery into a pandora but I'd recommend using a phat battery.
