Hi there,

I bought a secondhand Wii console from gamestop (here in ireland)with the idea of modding it. Could anyone tell me how do I check the motherboard or whatever to see if I need the WiiKey or the D2CKey. Ideally I'd perfer to have the Wiikey as it involves less soldering but needs must etc. Would appreciate some help.

hey there, don't be put off the forum by the person above.

click this link and type in your serial number (bottom of the console) in and it'll tell you, http://nintendo-scene.com/wiitracker/search.php anything up to d2c chip works on wiikey, hope that helps.

Been so long since I did a mod.

Drive pins most likely not cut means I can use wiikey right?
