I just recently noticed that my PSP with 3.71m33-2 after installing it by using Pandora V3... it shut down during Playtime, i was playing DBZ Another Road and it shuts down while I am fighting... I have full battery... its not the first time, I thought I always turned it off or someone else did, but I just talked to a friend that has 3.71 m33-2 installed by me and he states that he has the same problem... can anyone help me with this problem?

I had previously 3.40 oe-a the problem did not exist there, if someone knows of a fix for this let me know

PSP (+[__]%): 2.80 < 1.50 > 3.40OE-A > 3.71M33-4 > 3.80m33-5 > 3.90m33-3 > 4.01m33-2 + 8gb MSPD
PS3 HD 60GB: 1.33 > 1.90 > 2.01 > 2.17 - NO OS

When 3.71M33 was released, I thought it was really stable. Then it creeped me out.It was un-flashable to 1.5(before 1.5 kernel nor the shamain downgrade came out)and it was a really crap firmware.Right now I suggest you to flash your PSP into 3.52M33-4.It's the most stable CFW and the new type of brick(flash1 corruption) doesn't happen onto it.

NOTE FOR 3.71M33 USERS:Do not mess with the flash0 unless you really know what you're doing. When messing with the flash0 of 3.71M33 it has a high chance of a FULL brick...From flash1 corruption. You must have a backup of your own nand(recommend Pandora's battery for backing up/restoring nand)before you do it.If you end up with a full brick, but with no nand backed up then you're dead.

DO NOT USE ANOTHER PSP'S NAND.IT WOULD JUST END UP IN A BRICK(unless you're lucky.)

MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmm good comment, let me ask you... I created the battery when I was in 3.40 oe-a I did a NAND Dump on that firmware and I never touched that memory every again, SOooooooooo is there a chance that what is happening is that because I have the NAND DUMP of 3.40 oe-a I might be having problems now on 3.71 m33-2? LMK

PSP (+[__]%): 2.80 < 1.50 > 3.40OE-A > 3.71M33-4 > 3.80m33-5 > 3.90m33-3 > 4.01m33-2 + 8gb MSPD

No.Well, I don't think so anyways.3.71M33-2 has had the same problems with your friend's PSP?Well, tell him to dump from 3.71M33.If that doesn't solve the problem then just flash into 3.52M33-4.

Thats my point, he is not the only one... I just contacted other 5 guys, they have not had the problems we both had... only us 2... I dont know why... still I just created a pandora magicstick v1 to go back to 1.50 as I can not download the maxconsole file to downgrade 3.71 back to 1.50

1 question, the 3.52 m33 has not way of putting a theme just like the 3.71m33 right?

HA HA I just installed downgraded psp to 1.50 with pandora v1, upgraded to 3.52m33-4 then jumped manually to 3.71m33-2 and added the patch for 1.50 and I still have the same problem, PSP shuts down while playing Dragonball Z Another Road with a custom Game Save... WHY?

PSP (+[__]%): 2.80 < 1.50 > 3.40OE-A > 3.71M33-4 > 3.80m33-5 > 3.90m33-3 > 4.01m33-2 + 8gb MSPD

kikzm33z you`re wrote < If you end up with a full brick, but with no nand backed up then you're dead.>
i thought since pandora every full brick can be solved
so theres no chance for a permanent brick
is it impossible to go back to 1.5 from m33 3.71 with pandora?

Dude I have 2 batteries 1 is pandora, I just reflashed my PSP again but this time to 3.52 m33-4, and yes there is a chance for a complete brick, I solved this once... by making a short fuse between main board battery and chipset battery... now someone told me Pandora MagicStick V1 can unbrick those as well, never tried, anyways I cant seem to quite understand why the PSP shuts off during gameplay and a friend suffers of sleep -> shut down... instaed other 5 guys are not having problems with 3.71m33-2... why?

No.You're wrong.I've not personally experienced this flash1 corruption brick but my friend has.Pandora only writes over the flash0 and doesn't write over flash1, while nand dump just recovers it all.

Maybe because your Unbricker wasn't installed right? You used the unbricker on your friend's PSP, didn't you?Try downgrading to 1.5 then to 3.52M33-4 then to 3.71M33-2.In other words, do a manual re-flash to 3.71M33-2.

No no, this is MY unbricker, I did it with my pandora battery I just did another memory stick V1, the one that leaves me at 1.50, I upgraded to 3.52m33-4 and then to 3.71m33-2 and still the same problem happens, is there a chance that the save file might be causing this problem?

I got it from a friend is a 100% completition save file...?

Drakex, I am totally confused now.I think it's because 3.71M33-2 has some bugs in it.I suggest that you either get 3.52M33-4 or keep flashing 3.71M33-2 until it works fine.

Okay I just upgraded the way you told me, but I got same result, but I just noticed something, I can play ANY other game, Carbon hot Juiced 2, with custom save games file, only DBZ another road fails, BUT when I play it with a new game file it wont shut it self off... I guess the problem is the save file might be corrupt, i wasthinking of downloading a new one... what do you suggest... I have flashed my PSP 5 times so far

OH by the way I want to put the Circular XMB to the menu how can I install it? thanks in advance.

Update I got some DBZ Another Road save file again and it still does the same thing, is the game, its the save file? The game is US and the save file too... so as I dont know the DBZ game will work with a new save file, is there a chance that the save file from old firmware doesnt work on the 3.71 m33-2 CFW?

If you downloaded your ISO from the same place as you did before, then it's probably a crap dump.Try getting another download or try the Europe version. If both doesn't work, then you'll have to wait for a better answer. It doesn't seem to be your PSP's problem because your friend's PSP is doing this as well...So...I have no idea...

Its funny, let me put it like this, i flashed 6 PSPs the same way to 3.71m33-2 addon-2, 1 of them mine, only shuts down when playing that specific game, I have played SWAT Liberty and RAINBOW SIX for over 24 hours without shutting down... it only shuts down while playing a load save file in DBZ another road...

2nd PSP is my first friend, he only has a problem that it shuts down while on sleep mode... dont know what game he plays.

3rd PSP this one shut down as well while on sleep mode, but no longer does it, I asked him 3 times

4th PSP no problems at all, he had no issues so far, advised to let me know

5th PSP had problems with an EMULATOR but my friend was able to fix it...

6th PSP had problems that it bricked, the guy played with XMB and FLASH 01 but I reflashed it and now its working.

I will follow your idea, download the EU version and try it, I will post results. Thanks, is there a chance that the Save File is not compatible with 3.71m33-2?

No, it shouldn't.If you've tried all the solutions you can get, and they don't work then upgrade to 3.71 then send it so Sony so they can have a look at your PSP.Your warranty will be voided if they see you with 3.71M33-2 so get OFW.Get your Unbricker ready because they may send back a 3.72.But try the EU version first.

Funny story, neh I dont plan on sending worldwide my PSP I am not in the US... I am below Mexico this thing will be stolen by the time I put it anywhere and I am not planning on expecting it back... anyways let me tell you

I just downgraded another PSP from 2.71 then back to 3.71 m33-2 and used my memory, the DBZ frozes and shuts down EVEN when no file is LOADED, now I decided, what the heck and downgraded my PSP to 1.50 and back to 3.52 m33-4 and guess what?

After loading the save file the darned PSP shut down AGAIN! Man! I think the save file fried my game for some reason!

HA HA, for me, I just downgraded back to 3.40 OE-A and the same THING happens, I dont know if the memory got damage or the game got damage, suggestions?
