Update: KahnArtizt has confirmed (in the comments) 3.72?s availability via Network Update. I wouldn?t recommend installing it though; by the looks of things, it?s nothing worthwhile.

It would seem Sony has officially released PSP firmware 3.72. Per the moment 3.72 is reportedly available for only Japanese hand helds. I?m unable to confirm whether or not it?s downloadable via Network Update; my PSP is currently at home, and well, I?m not there. Of course the North American side of things remain behind on the update. Check back soon for more details.
