Any luck on the flahing the hitachi 79 drive yet without using the mod chip since I see there is a flash for the benq drive

Nothing new as of Oct. 31. It seems like Hitachi drives have always run behind Samsungs as far as firmware updates. Maybe now that the Benq is done, C4E might focus on the 79.

do you think that a flash for this drive will ever be possible without the passkey 79, and be able to be flashed like the earlier versions?
