Hey folks, terribly sorry if this is posted clearly somewhere else. But i did a search and cant find anythign too clear on this.

I got my wii chipped with Wiikey a couple or few months ago. Everything works fine with no issues. My questions is, i often hear people talking about updating their chips firmware. How and why should I do this?

Also how to i verifify what version of WiiKey Im currently running.

Please dont kill me if I didnt search well enough...just kinda short on time.

Download and run the wiikey setup disc and it will tell you what firmware you have. Next if you want to update the firmware just download it and burn it to a disc and boot it up. It will walk you through the whole procedure.

Look in the resources section.

Also the reason people are talking about updating the firmware is so they can play Super Mario Galaxy but the wiikey team have not yet released a firmware update that will fix that issue.

ps - I guess it will never hurt just to upgrade to the latest firmware every couple months. So maybe going forward I'll just do that.
