Hi,

Ok - I have a fat PSP v3.50, I have a copy of Lumines ULES00043 and i have a 4g Memory card. (and the original 32mb).

What do i need to do to allow me to use c*pi*d games? I know i need to change the firmware to 3.52 or something but how do i do it?
Where can i obtain teh custom firmware?

Any help would be welcomed - Thxs!!

Have a search for the 3.50 downgrader then read the readme.

Now, download the 3.52M33 package(with update4) then read the readme.Be sure to read the one that says "Installation for 1.5" as you are installing in that.

Now, you either keep it like that or 3.71M33-2, but I don't recommend for various reasons. But it's up to you.

NOTE**The 3.71M33 update will look like an official one, but there will be some writing before the update(like "Writing 371.PBP" and all that stuff)

I have not installed updates 1,2,3 or 4 can i without going to 3.71?

Is it recommended to get the updates?

Thanks for helping a Total Noob - Was not as hard as i thought with the guides. :-)

D/l the update - I Have the Update folder but when i place it in the Game folder and try to update it says 'Game could not be run' Either it will not work.

The guides say i shud have a GAME150 folder but all i have is GAME.

I tried to rename the update to 352.PBP but still no joy.

Thx

If there's not a Game150 then make one.If that doesn't work then boot into recovery and switch the Game kernel to 1.50.

EDIT:I read that you ask if you needed the updates. You don't need the updates 1 or 2 because they don't work at all, but the updates 3 and 4 is needed or the 3.71M33 upgrade, or the upgrade will not start.
