I'm working on a music video at the moment and so far it's only 22 seconds long, i published it and it's in .avi format at 628 MEGABYTES, Why is the file so big? Is there a way i can fix this?

Are you saving to uncompressed video?

I would use something like the dv codec. it should shrink your 22 sec video to around 100-120MB.
