I have done nothing to my wii since I had the wiikey installed earlier this year. I have the US version and only play NTSC backups. I now want to play the Mario Galaxy backup.
Can someone tell me what updates I need to do and in what order, I have already downloaded update 1.9b, config 1.3 and 1.9g. I have already made all the us iso's into 1.35gb burnable iso's.
So do I:
1. Only do 1.9g update
2. Do config 1.3 then 1.9b and then 1.9g
3. Do 1.9b then config 1.3 and then 1.9g

Also do I need the gamecube controller for all the updates.
Do I just insert the DVD into the wii and follow instructions or is it self updating.

You don't need to run config if you only run US games. So only update the firmware to 1.9g should be enough. Config is only needed if you need to either run other region games, ajust the DVD read speed or run apps like game back-up with SD card.

Thanx for the reply. If I do want to take advantage of the config 1.3 would I install that after 1.9g or do I need to install 1.9b first then config 1.3 and finally update to 1.9g.

Also, should I update the wii software from Nintendo to the latest before I run wiikey updates?

1.3 is just a config disc. It doesn't install anything. I have read some have updated with original firmware straight to 1.9g and some went to 1.9b then 1.9g so either way seems to work.

The 1.3 config disc is to config the Wiikey settings.
