My windows defender icon disappears from the toolbar section, does that mean it isn't running or is it still running?

If the program is running properly I think the icon should be showing in the tray. I've been using SuperAntiSpyware and it works pretty good.

If I'm not mistaken, Defender is always running. The icon only appears during scanning. I could be wrong but I think that is how it works.

Hi, click tools options, scroll down to the bottom and tick the box that says show windows defender icon always and that will fix it. Just figured it out, thanks anyway.
