Don't know what you want them for...slaughter, laying, pets (LOL) etc. There are probably some livestock markets near you somewhere, that would probably be the best place to look.

My Dad had 2 Bantum Roosters around when I was growing up. They followed him around and they drank out of his beer can. Truly amazing. BUT the MFers crowed every morning and especially loudest on weekends. The neighborhood dogs finally took care of them one by one. Thank god.

lol. Little chicks are so cute though! Anyway I plan on getting hens, and MAYBE one rooster. I would just go get chicks, but my mom doesn't want them. But I think her resolve is breaking, and I am headed to the store today so maybe I will get some.

ducks are hardly any more expensive in any manner and produce much larger and (in my view) tastier eggs. if you're going for laying, i'd say get some ducks.

also, all foul are a pain in the ass. the crap everywhere and seem to be the least conscious of any domesticated animal. be sure to have a proper place to keep them... letting them run loose is a bad idea.

I've never had duck eggs. Anyway, I don't have lots of water here(isn't that important?). BTW I will put them in a coup at night, so why not let them run loose? There aren't any predators here.

This ought to be interesting. Ma and Pa Kettle at Disneyland.

During the Depression my mom's family survived on the chickens they raised and their garden. And Aus is right, they are nasty little buggers.

Culture shock for the younger folk here, but you brought back some great memories of going to the movie theater when I was young, to see the Ma and Pa Kettle movies. The cost...$0.10 until you turned 13. It then went up to a quarter. LOL

Ducks fly long distances. Chickens don't. :)

Depending on your phone provider (Verizon doesn't let you!) you can just use a cable that connects into a USB port from your phone's power port and transfer the data that way.

Or, if you have one, you can save the video to a MicroSD card and put it on your computer via a card reader.

Nice to hear you got some though. :-)

Peace

I have T-Mobile(cheapest, and friendliest company ever!), but I guess I will have to get moto phone tools. My HTC Wizard was taken away by my teacher so I can't do it the micro-sd card way. I'll get back to you guys soon.

Gumbo weather is when it first turns cool and continues till it first turns cool again. Yeah we eat gumbo year round but appreciate it more in the winter and fall. It's bad enough to be "neck sweating" from cayenne and suffering from heat too. LOL

Oh it's spicy food! Trust me you guys don't eat as many spices as we do in Pakistan. Especially my family. Although I may be making a generalization, so forgive me for that.

@abuzar

you obviously have eaten any S Louisiana food yet. We put meat and seafood on our spices here LOL. One reason for sucking crawfish heads is to get all that spicy ladden fat out. Now that I've spoiled everyone's breakfast, gone pecan.

I would like it a lot then! No offense, but I tend to find American food ,in general, as very bland. So it's nice to know at least people in S Louisiana know what real food should taste like!
