I have a PAL console and will be having my wiikey fitted tomorrow. My question is, what updates will i need to run? Im not bothered about running gamecube or NTSC games just backups of PAL games. Do i just need to allow the games i run to update the firmware or will this brick my system? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Just go ahead and update your Wii's firmware to the latest. Do not use the update on a game that is different of your region. Update the Wiikey to the latest by downloading them on the Wiikey website.
