How do i get my FM transmitter to work with my T.v?

I have a "Whole House FM Transmitter" and i seem to be having a problem trying to get it to transmit audio. I am using the Red and white plugs and plugging it into the T.V's [HDMI] red+white cable area. I have a directv dish which plugs in VIA HDMI and the audio comes out of the t.v itself.

Am i plugging it into the correct spot?

(Not sure if this thread is in the right place either)

Nevermind i got it. Needed to be plugged into the component out slot. If a mod wants they can delete it. Or lock it or whatever you guys do around here.
