This is not a double post - the following information was obtained using DVD Identifyer:

Manufacturer ID: RICOHJPN
Media Type ID: R01
Disc Application Code: General Purpose
Product Revision: 02

This seems to be an authentic Ritek DVD, so any opinions as to why they play on DVD players and NOT on any computers?

In my opinion a dvd will always play on a computer before a dvd player. - When learning most people find they can play their dvd's on their computer but not their stand-alone player !!
