If you have fat ps2, use slide tool.
If you have slim ps2, use magic keys.

There both are a pain you should wait on the memory card hack.

Well even with the memory card exploit, you still need a way to be able to boot the backups, eg: slide tool or flip top. This is because once you have launched the Swap Magic Elf from your memory card, you have to do the TOC refresh and a method of ejecting the disc is needed without the PS2 actually knowing. Unless of course you are using a harddrive and therefore you won't need to eject or enter a backup as they are booted from the HD.

PS2 - Swap Magic 2.0 DVD - Swap Magic 3.0 CD - Memory Card Exploit - Swap Magic 3.6 ELF - Swap Magic 3.8 ELF

PSP SLIM - OFW 3.71 - CFW 3.71 M33 - CFW 3.71 M33-2 - CFW 3.71 M33-3 - CFW 3.71 M33-4 - CFW 3.80 M33 - CFW 3.80 M33-2 - CFW 3.80 M33-3 - CFW 3.80 M33-4 - CFW 3.80 M33-5 - CFW 3.90 M33 - CFW 3.90 M33-2

XBOX 360 - Currently Researching Mods

PS3 80GB (Soon to be 320GB) - OFW 2.50

Just deal with it. I have a fat ps2, using slide card, it takes seconds.

Similar with slim ps2, it has magic keys installed (homebrew tools), and that also takes seconds.

Look at it this way, using seconds of your time with the tool = hours of fun playing your favorite game. I'd sacrifice a little bit of annoyance for pleasure any day. :P
