Metroid 3 Corruption on NTSC 3.1j?

Just wondering, does anyone know if the english (NTSC-U)Metroid 3 corruption will work on a Japanese Wii (NTSC-J) with the 3.1J update that has Wiikey installed?

Also, does it matter whether the Wiikey is 1.9b?

I have your same problem but the different thing is I don't know what mod chip is intalled on my wii. I got a semi brick b4 wii jap mod because of the mario strikers updaten since it was newly bought I decided to swap it to the idiots of the shop who told me not to update using jap mod wii. I eventually got a new 1 and updated to 3.1j then tested all the cd including mario strikers and metroid prime. It did update so I was scared like hell but then I checked the wii settings and it was still there plus theres no dup channel. All my cds are NTSC U. Though I had a bit of a problem reading all the cds except Wii sports & resident evil. But I was not able to check it before coz I'm afraid of the semi brick. So the only cd I was able to test while i'm on the 2.0j firmware was Wii sports which loaded flawlessly. Anyone have trouble with reading disks in 3.1j?
