When flashing my BenQ, do i need to attach my IDE hard drive (on my PC that is running Windows XP OS), to my PCI Sata VIA 6421 card using the cards built in "IDE port" or can I just leave my hard drive attached to the IDE controller on my computer's motherboard when flashing my BenQ dvd drive on my xbox 360?? It would appear that I could leave it connected on the PC's motherboard IDE controller and it would still communicate to the SATA card plugged into PCI port 2......

Is my thinking correct here??

What? Just use the SATA port to hook up the 360 drive. It doesn't matter if you use the IDE port or not because the 360 drive is communicating via SATA.

You can leave the IDE port alone if you have your computers hard drive connected to the IDE ports on the motherboard.
