Yes, any psp can be downgraded at this point. If you buy a slim you will either need to buy a datel tool battery in order to downgrade (plus make a mem stick)or access to a pandora battery. If you buy a new phat psp, chances are you will have to do the same. Best bet would be ebay and find something 2.71 or below, this way you can use software to downgrade the psp. Anything over 2.71 will require either a game UMD or a pandora battery to downgrade, just a heads up for when the time comes.

Hey, I remember that u could downgrade from 2.80 with software only too. (Correct me if i'm wrong)
