I tried looking in the guides section, how-to's and used the search function, but i couldnt find a guide on how to put tv shows on dvd. All i could find is how to put movies on a dvd. If you have 24 episodes, for example, can i fit those on one dvd? I know the answer is most likely not, but how do u know how many dvds it will take to put them all on? How do u put multiple files on a dvd?

Can someone please direct me to a thread or guide because ive clearly missed it somewhere. Or explain how this is done.

Thanks everyone.

I assume your episodes are likely in avi format. If so, the simplest solution would be to use ConvertXtoDVD. You can create menus for your discs allowing for episode selection. As far as how many to put on one disc. That really depends. The more episodes you put onto a disc, the more compressed they become, thus resulting in bad quality. Here's what I would do.

For burning to DVD-9 disc: If they are 1hr episodes, do not exceed 8 episodes per disc. If they are 30min episodes, do not exceed 16.
For burning to DVD-5 disc: 1hr episodes= 4 per disc, 30min episodes=8 per disc.

Now, this is just how I've done mine. The quality is still very good. In my experience, exceeding these numbers while using ConvertXtoDVD will result in fair quality as opposed to good. Hope this helps.

It also depends on content. With well lit sitcoms/dramas with mostly talking heads you can stack more. With darker lit high action shows a bit less.
