Misplaced HDloader trigger disc, would a GH version work?

Hey folks. I use my Chrono Trigger Disc 1 SLUS 01041 as my trigger disc for loading HDloader. I recently cannot find the damn thing! If I use the Greatest Hits version instead, a SLUS 01041GH version, would it work?

I do realize the GH version has "GH" attached to the disc code, but is that actually registered on the disc?
