Tricky question - PS2 MOD with Matrix/Infinity won't load ISO from HD

Hi All,

I have my PS2 for a long time... I installed the matrix/infinity mod chip and it always worked ok. After a while I decided to buy a HD and the network adaptor so I could play the games from my HD.

I would usually copy them from my PS2 into my HD and then load them without any issues.

Recently my PS2 is not able to read the games I am renting.

My PS2 is originally from the US (NTSC) and now I am living in NZ and here the games are PAL.

I was able to copy the PAL games into my HD with no problems but sundenly it stopped reading the disc. I thought the reason would be cuz the laser might be old or something but when I tried one of my old games (NTSC) it loaded perfectly.

I am now trying to make an ISO from the PS2 DVD and then put it in my HD. To do so I used DVD Decrypter (making the iso) and then WINHIIP to load it into my HD.

Everything runs ok, without ny erros messages but when I put my HD back into my PS2 the new game just won't work.

I don't know if it really matters but the game is scarface and my PS2 model is SCPH-35001. The HD i am using is a 80gb Samsung.

I don't know if I should now buy a PS2 Slim and forget about my old one or if there is a way to fix it cuz as of now I just can't play any other game apart from the ones on my HD.
