I've got 10 avi files that I'd like to burn onto dvdr. Once I go over 120 mins of recorded time does my quality get worse? I know I can fit all of them on to the dvdr since each file is only 350mb but the total time would be somewhere between 400-500mins. Is it best not to go over 120mins no matter how small the file size is?

i would use convertxtodvd and set menu to 10 in options (so menu page is only 1 page as default is 6, which will make 2 menu pages to scroll through), place all 10 avi in and convert...

i have done 6 avi (350meg) on dvdr with convertxtodvd quailty was good! (didnt notice any loss). 10 is pushing it abit i would think but its a good converter and quailty isnt bad, its worth a shot and convertxtodvd is fast! go for it...

-----------

i just tested 5 files of 700meg to match your 10 files of 350meg and convertxtodvd says it will be done in about 2 hour...

my pc 4.4 cpu, 2 gig ram

-----------

will let it run and check quailty for you! report back when finished...

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

The reason I'd like to keep it in divx format is because I just bought a dvd player that allows me to play these files and it's not as time consuming as converting to dvd.

Do you recommend converting to dvd for better quality? I guess I wouldn't mind keeping the time under 120 mins to ensure better quality if I had to. Would really like to leave the files as is though.

Thanks
