Shrink is Shrink because it Shrinks, lol. It reduces the size of a movie to fit a single layer disk. Shrink will reduce the size further if you put in custom ratio. CloneDVD does the same, however Clone Mobile will reduce it to a small size to fit on a mobile device which is a different story.

I am stupido!!!
Could you please tell me how to configurate my ShrinkDVD, step by step, (I'm really stupido!!!) such that I could copy my movie into my hard-disk to a single file of 1 gb size like in CloneDVD?

Are you sure you are using CloneDVD to get this size and not CloneDVD Mobile. Compressing to 1g is really losing a lot of quality, and I have never compressed it down this much. If you really want to do it then just go into you settings in Shrink

Use the edit tab, preferences choose custom and then type in your size.

Arniebear is right, so much compression can cause all kinds of problems. CloneDVD 2 has similar default sizing for DVD5. In fact all transcoders I've seen try to use the maximum space available on a DVD5. Most programs are set to compress to about 4.37GB (including CloneDVD). Both CloneDVD 2 and Shrink have the feature to set a custom size. But I'd never try transcoding with such drastic compression to try to get a DVD9 (or even a regular DVD5) down to 1GB.

Do you think he might be talking about a DivX compressed movie? They are roughly 1GB is size sometimes. Compressing a DVD5 to 1GB seems like a really bad idea. I don't even want to think about a DVD9 lol.
