I have an Xbox v1.4 and have recently upgraded from a 120Gig to a 400Gig HDD. I use Evox as my dash and created a HD installer disc using menu commands in evox.ini. Everything went ok during the formatting (Evox recognises a 391Gig F Drive) and the copying of appz, and I have a 'functional' evox dash running from my new HD.
I have an Aladdin XT (v4032) modchip and am using an 06-type BIOS (Originally M8+, but recently upgraded to X2.4983.06 which hasn't helped my problem), as I want one HUGE F Drive.
My problem is that when I go to run certain programs (boXplorer, XBPartitioner, BIOSChecker) from the HD they hang at the EvolutionX load splash screen. Even when I burn an xiso and try to run them, the system hangs on boot. I have tried different CD/DVD Media.
I did have problems using XBMC initially, but setting up the TDATA, UDATA and CACHE folders on E drive sorted that all out. I have disabled IGR and made sure the clock is correct, but still can't get XBPartitioner to run - which I want to use so that I KNOW that I have my F Drive formatted to 32k clusters (even if I have to re-format).
On my older 120Gig HD, I did used to have some sporadic problems running appz such as boXplorer, but after a reboot, they would run fine (It was on and off, but bearable).
1) Does anyone know (I have tried searching but cant find out) if the inbuilt Evox Format command supports 32k cluster formatting by default on larger drives?
2) If there are any programs that can determine the cluster size of a fatx partition?
3) If there could be any other reasons why some of my programs wont run?
Any and All help appreciated!
