Problem with Master Disc Patcher

I'm trying to use Loser's Master Disc Patcher to make a back-up disc playable on my Debug PS2.

The patcher is giving me the following error:

"error searching for exe filename in system.cnf"

But the SLUS file name is definitely in the system.cnf (I checked with text pad.)

Any known fixes for this?
