update to custom firmware it allows you to do all the things that you can do on 1.5 with the advantages of the new fw. the best cfw at the moment is 3.71m33 you can get it from here and the 1.5 kernel add on (allows you to play homebrews) here. before you update to 3.71m33 you need to update to 3.52m33-4 (it has something fixed that allows you to update to 3.71m33. you can get 3.52m33 fromhere and the m33-4 update here. If you want any more help reply

Update to 3.52 M33-4 or 3.71 M33-2 because the PSX and ISO Emulator/Loaders are built in

for psx games you need to be on cfw 3.03 and up (best is 3.52m33 or 3.71m33) and for iso go to torrent sites.
homebrew apps - experiment there hundreds out there test them!

Get popstation gui you can get it from here all you have to do is rip your psx games into iso and then convert them into eboot file.
